SERVICE OPTIONS: (Retainer Basis)

family engages the services of Spiegel Educational Consulting on a retainer basis
throughout the process, from initial appointment through college admission. Contact
time - in the office, by phone, by email etc - is not limited to a set number
of hours. | 1. | Comprehensive,
three to four-year services. (Starting in ninth or tenth grade.) Unlimited appointments,
phone, email and fax included in services. | 2. | Comprehensive,
junior and senior year services. Unlimited appointments, phone, email and fax
included in services. (Please note: This full fee is applicable to new clients
in any stage of junior or senior year.) | LIMITED
SERVICE OPTION: (Not on retainer basis. All phone, email and in-office work is
on 'billable time.')
| 3. | Five
Hour Package. Generally, this service works very well for families who already
have a very solid list of appropriate colleges, or who feel comfortable developing
the list on their own, but desire "a la carte" support such as resume
reviews, interview practice, essay brainstorming and revisions, application and
essay critiques, scholarship application review, etc.
It
is important to note that we cannot develop a college list in the limited service
arrangement, since we will not have the depth of relationship to develop an appropriate
list. Developing and revising and researching an appropriate list of colleges
is along-range process that works best in the Full Service consultations. However,
Mary will comment on and make additions to an existing list.
Also note that all phone and email contact time is "billable time."
| | 4. | TRANSFERS
On a space-available basis we can also advise students who are seeking to transfer
from their current college. In many cases the transfer process can be as involved
as the 'full service' first time freshman; while in other scenarios, the student
simply needs time with Mary for essays and application review. Because of the
wide range of transfer cases, we determine the level of service needed after the
initial appointment. A one-time fee applies for the initial appointment. | | 5. | HOURLY,
"Just Apps!" Each fall, we have many phone calls from panicked
parents of seniors, seeking last minute help. Try to avoid being one of those
cases! However, depending on case load and timing, Mary can offer a limited amount
of hourly-basis support on college applications and essays. (NOT on developing
a list.) Call for fees. | | 6. | WORKSHOPS Mary
is available to speak at community events, corporations and educational organizations.
